Bodegas Enguera is located near the town of Enguera, 80km inland from Valencia, and is owned by Pedro Perez Pardo who as a young man was forced to leave his native village during the Spanish Civil War, returning 20 years later to realise his dream to build a winery. Young Valencian winemaker, Diego Fernandez, has travelled widely making wines in France, Australia and California and over the last three years has worked hard to maintain the vineyards without using any chemicals. The vineyards and winery will be fully classified as organic later this year. Flavours and aromas of ripe berry fruits combine with a floral complexity and ripe juicy freshness with spicy undertones.
